The Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry announces Export Import Policy every five years. The new FTP (2015-20) came into force w.e.f 01\/04\/2015. The export Import Policy (EXIM Policy) is updated every year on the 31st of March and the modifications, improvements and new schemes are effective w.e.f. 1st April of every year.<\/p>\nMore information about Foreign Trade Policy is available at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dgft.gov.in\/CP\/?opt=ft-policy\" class=\"elink-r\">https:\/\/www.dgft.gov.in\/CP\/?opt=ft-policy<\/a>\n<h3>AGRI EXPORT POLICY<\/h3>\nThe Agriculture Export Policy is framed with a focus on agriculture export oriented production, export promotion, better farmer realization and synchronization within policies and programmes of Government of India. It is required to have a \u201cFarmers\u2019 Centric Approach\u201d for improved income through value addition at source itself which will help to minimize losses across the value chain. India needs to have farmer oriented strategy to achieve the twin objective of food security and a prominent agriculture exporter of the world. The policy will also give a big push to food processing\/manufacturing to have much higher growth in food production which will increase India\u2019s share of value added processed products in its Agriculture export basket at the global level.
