New Website of MPEDA Inaugurated<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

June 14: Totally new website of MPEDA was inaugurated virtually by Shri. K S Srinivas IAS, Chairman MPEDA on 14\/06\/2021 at 12 pm. Website is available at www.mpeda.gov.in<\/a>. All stakeholders, right from Exporters, Farmers and Fishers attended the virtual programme conducted on Zoom platform today. The programme started with the welcome address by Dr. M Karthikeyan, Director MPEDA. In the presidential address Chairman MPEDA informed that \u201cWebsites are the face of any organisation and he is very happy to announce that MPEDA has got a new face\u201d. Chairman after unveiling the new website and requested to the stakeholders to go through the new website and provide the feedback in order to bring necessary updations to make the website informative and user friendly.<\/p>\n\n

Exporter Portal<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

As instructed by Chairman MPEDA, Dr. T R Gibinkumar, Deputy Director (market Promotion & Statistics) introduced the website contents to the participants. He opened all the portals for exporters, importers, aqua farmers, fishers and seafood lovers and elaborated the functions and contents in each portal.<\/p>\n\n

Importer Portal<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

The home page of the new website is having the options to select separate user interfaces for Exporters, Importers, Aqua Farmers, Fishers and one additional portal for Seafood lovers. Exporter portal will have the contents such as export data, links for registration, e-services available etc for exporters. Importer portal will focus on exporter directory, product catalogues and trade links.<\/p>\n\n

Aquafarmer Portal<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

Aqua Farmers\u2019 portal will provide the enrolment process, link to sustainable practices via NaCSA website and access to technology and seed via RGCA website. Fishers\u2019 portal will elaborate the production details, classification of gears and crafts, details of fishing ground information, links to NETFISH etc. A new page for seafood lovers loaded with various seafood recipes, blog and videos is the major attraction. This portal is also having the facility for visitors to view as well as submit new seafood recipes.<\/p>\n\n

Fishers’ Portal<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

Felicitations on the occasion of new website launching were given by Shri. K S Pradeep IFS, Secretary MPEDA; Shri. Alluri Indra Kumar, Managing Director, Avanti Feeds Ltd.; Shri. Alex Ninan, President, SEAI Kerala Region; Dr. Manoj Sharma, Mayank Aquaculture Pvt Ltd. Gujarat; Mr. Balasubramaniam V, General Secretary, Prawn Farmers Federation of India; Shri Madhusudan Reddy Konakanti, Director, All India Shrimp Hatchery Association (AISHA); Dr. Arul Victor Suresh, President, The Society of Aquaculture Professional (SAP) and Mr. Joseph Xavier Kalapurackal, Secretary, All Kerala Fishing Boat Operators Association.<\/p>\n

The entire programme was moderated by Shri. Anil Kumar P, Joint Director (Marketing), MPEDA<\/p>\n\n

Seafood Portal<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

In addition, officers and staff from MPEDA at various Regional Offices, exporters, farmers and other related stakeholders were present. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n
