The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), representing India’s seafood sector, actively participated in JISTE 2024 alongside its co-exhibitors at Stalls Y-04 and V-05. Over the three days, MPEDA and its co-exhibitors highlighted the finest Indian seafood, known for its unmatched quality and sustainability.

The event showcased the robust trade ties between India and Japan, with India offering unparalleled opportunities for Japanese investments, particularly in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.
Addressing representatives from over 150 Japanese companies, the Indian Ambassador highlighted the strong economic relationship between the two nations, emphasising that more than 1,500 Japanese companies are already operating in India. With its rich seafood resources and strategic initiatives, India presents an attractive market for Japanese businesses looking to expand.
