PRAWN STUFFED SQUID CURRY

What goes in:

Squid-medium size(body only) – 4 nos
Large prawns -shelled – 4 nos
Egg – 1no
Salt – 3 gms
Lime juice – 5 ml
Green chilly paste – 5 gms
Garlic paste -5 gms
Green masala powder 1/2 tspn
Vegetable oil -30 ml
Butter – 30 gm
Onion chopped-150 gms
Tomato concasse -200 gms
Tomato puree – 100 ml
Garlic paste – 10 gms
Red chilly paste – 10 gms
Cumin powder – 1/2 tspn
Coriander leaves – 10 gms

How to prepare:

1. Marinate the prawns with salt, half of lime juice with garlic and green chilly paste, garam masala and salt.

2. Dip prawns in beaten egg and stuff into squids and seal the opening of the squid.

3. Bake or steam for 15 mts.

4. Meanwhile heat together oil and butter in a pan and golden brown onion.

5. Add pasted ingredients, turmeric powder, tomato concasse and simmer until the oil starts oozing out.

6. Add tomato puree, cumin powder, salt, and a little garam masala powder and little water for desired consistency.

Accompaniment : Slice the squid and serve with the gravy and boiled rice.
